A year after One Piece Film Red rocked Japanese theaters and rocketed up the Japanese box office rankings – currently the 8th highest-grossing film in Japan of all time –, Uta will be returning to the big screen and this time in full 4K. The news was announced during today’s episode of the One Piece anime alongside a new, very spoiler-filled, trailer.
One Piece Film Red will get another full month in 366 Japanese theaters from October 20 with the same 4K version that used for the Blu-ray print of the film – which will be the first theatrical showing of that version in Japan and includes the new scenes. Theatrical gifts from the original run will also be given out again. Cheer screenings will also be held where glow lights, clapping and more is encouraged.
Though, for those that want to watch One Piece Film Red right now, you can do so right here on Crunchyroll along with over 1,000 episodes of the One Piece TV anime.
